Quick Context
This takes place right at the end of Scott Pilgrim (the comic series) or at the end of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (the movie).

Idea that started it all
I always thought that the worst person to face in competition for the heart of the woman I love wouldn't be a cliche person who was a good fighter (Patel), a good actor/skater (Lucas Lee), or great musician (Todd)... I always thought that the hardest person to face would be a person that really didn't have anything wrong with them. If the woman I liked fell for someone who treated her well, who am I to say otherwise?

Extras
*The reason why I did not include much information about Chris is because the whole battle isn't supposed to be focused on this random guy named Chris, but the battle is really with Ramona's past' hurt. It's a battle to heal rather than a battle to win. Different? Yeah, I know, whatevs
*Those are the same clothes that Scott and Romona are wearing at the end of the comic! (Scott doesn't have his jacket here though... subspace isn't cold I guess!)
*The logo on Chris' shirt is from one of The Replacements' album cover. In the back of Scott Pilgrim and the Infinite Sadness, Bryan Lee O'Malley mentions that he always thinks of this band as Ramona's favorite band, so I used it as a logo for his shirt. Ramona thinks Chris is pretty much perfect, including his taste of music!
*I started getting all colorful simply to make up for my lack of artistic prowess.
*Chris' sword was originally supposed to make a heart-shaped wave when he swung it but alas, I couldn't make it work out in Photoshop to my liking.
*All the parts in between the two "ROMONA!"s are kinda like slow-motion flash backs! (Like what Bryan Lee O'Malley does!)
*Hope Cemetery! Ramona's dream boy died and both him and her hope are buried there now! Wait, I just made myself sad.
*"Ramona Come Closer" is the title of Chapter 4 in Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life.
*Still don't get the comic? At the end of the series/movie Ramona and Scott go through the subspace door, this is where this comic picks up. As the two lovebirds take a path through Ramona's mind, they encounter Chris, an "evil" ex boyfriend! Chris remains untouched despite Scott's attacks because Chris is really just a memory in Ramona's head that can't be damaged since he was perfect to her. We find out Chris actually died (I chose not to explain how) and "left" Ramona. Scott helps Ramona cope as they continue their journey through subspace. Oh and look, they find an exit!

I've actually never made a comic before, so I credit O'Malley with the fact that despite my redrawing/sketching everything here from scratch, I used actual Scott Pilgrim books to figure out how to pose the characters.
